    Howzit ye´ all,

    Here is my dilemma.

I started to note that when I have an power outage my Resun EF 600 cannister leaks a bit.
This would have not been a problem since I have a battery back-up that have saved me from numerous disasters in the past.
Problem is now my back-up has issues !!

Bottom line I need to find an O-ring or some type of kit to ensure all leaks are taken care off.
I made contact with Resun in China whom referred me to the importer in PE etc. but have been unable to find joy in this regard.

Please tell me what size O-ring or kit I need or even better where can I go to get help. I´ve been to 4 LFS and so far nothing.

Also will the ¨vaseline¨ around the rim and O-ring work and for how long.

Thanks in advance for the help :cheesy:

    Hi,

Remove the o-ring and take it to bearing man.

This might sound stupid but what about all the bacteria in the cannister? or do I leave it running without the o-ring?

should be fine not running the unit for an hour or so, while you are out looking for a replacement.

I heard / read somewhere that if the cannister is off for 20min you lose all bacteria? So you can understand i'm a bit scared to switch off for so long.
Luckily I got hold of a LFS in boksburg that can help me with the o-ring.

    thanks for the help.

You can just stick in an air stone aerating the filter media and water in your canister to keep the bacteria alive.
