So Friday evening after a hard weeks work and me a bit irritated I were looking at my tank and wasn't very happy at what I were looking at. I have set up the tank 2 weeks ago, so very new and the water was still turning brown from tannin leaching, so then and there I decided it's time for a rescape.

Saturday Morning with my first cup of coffee I started...

After a 80% water change at and rescape it turned out to be something I like, this works for me...

After about 36 hours the water is still clear, so looks like the tannin is over. I still have to weigh the spiderwood down with a rock, but should be okay after another week or 2.
I like this a lot more and as the plants grow it will look better over time as well. Still want to get some moss to.
Will get fish at end of month, ammonia and nitrite levels still high... Still deciding what fish get :D

    Looks good.
Can take some time to bring down the tannins.

Well it looks like the soaking beforehand helped, after 2 weeks in the tank it seems to be gone
