Awesome, out of interest whats the thing on the upper left side of the tank.

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

@nicolaas The biggest Pleco is over 40cm! Its very cool but it does produce a large amount of waste...

@DCWarHound I think you are referring to the Powerhead? It generates current in the tank in order to reduce the amount of dead space (behind rocks etc) and to help filtration.

    Thanks MHD!

@rednox Yeah its rather unfortunate because they are ridiculously good at keeping algae off the class! I now have 4 Ancistrus in that tank so lets hope they do the job :)

Yeah it keeps it it from settling and decomposing to a large degree, reduces the amount of times you need to do gravel vacs... Especially important with larger fish like plecos and cichlids. You have to be careful though as some species are sensitive to high current so choose wisely.

Sounds good, if you place your rockwork strategically you can almost completely eliminate dead space with a powerhead or 2 and they are not that expensive :) Are you running a sump?

Unfortunately not, bought the tank with the cabinet and it has 4 small cabinets.

    400L

Running 1200lph Canister,1000lph Via Aqua filter and a 1000lph boyu pump that pumps the water up into the canopy.Still have to figure out how the canopy filter works.

All good, I dont have a sump on my community aquarium but I do have an Ehiem 2250 cannister which does a great job, still need to gravel back with big fish though...
