Replacement pump for canister filter

Hi guys, my motor just gave up, what can I use to pump water in and out via the canister, I know it is some pump but can't recall what it is called. Thank you

It is not dead but very very slow, the pipe is not even full like when you open a hose pipe, it's like water not even full on the outlet

 

Power head?

 

Ok, so easy way would be a power head for a cost effective way?

 

Sorry if it sounds blonde, but have you double checked there is nothing like a piece of media blocking the flow anywhere?
And obviously, have you given your media a good cleanup
How old and what sponges are you using?
It can also happen that old sponges start not doing the job so well

Which Resun canister is it

 

I have not checked the pipes yet, have the coarse Sponge at the bottom, batting on top, then 2 full trays with bio media and batting which I did clean, maybe too much and it's blocking the easy flow, maybe half a tray of media?

 

It is a EF 800

 

sorry have you checked the armature of the pump, could be damaged.
try see if you can get a spare

 

Is that the impeller

 

it is the magnetic shaft that fits into pump body and holds the impeller
normally armature and impeller sold as 1 piece

 

Update : the pipes in and out are blocked with the debris, how do I clean those pipes as there is nothing that can fit into it, it's thick muck, or just buy new pipes but I want to keep the old ones as as a back up, it actually very dirty, very dark brown and thick, stopping the flow, I tested with some other pipes, flow is 100% now, happy chappy now
