    Hey guys

Haven't been on TASA in quite a while :) so I thought I'd post in New Members just to say hi to everybody. I see there are lots of new members since I was last here and lots of old members still here.

@Cheetah, I'm glad to see the monthly competitions still going :) I'm impressed by your energy :p

I still have tanks but have scaled down from 7 to 2. (Not counting the wetland pool/pond outside) Water changes are so quick now :D

What's going in in my fishy world right now...

    1. The wetland pool has a leak :( so we've had to remove all the gravel and plants to reseal. Luckily the leak is just in the wetland portion not the pool portion so we could move all the fish to the pool. All the plants have been moved to a temporary swimming pool.

    2. I'm also busy relocating and rescaping a 5ft Oscar tank. The Oscar (his name is Little) and his 3 featherfin tank mates are on holiday in the temporary swimming pool with the plants. For the rescape, I'm planning to put some dwarf papyrus and maybe water lilies in the tank. If there is enough Little shouldn't wreck it too badly. Then I am going to put some pot plants above and around the tank so it looks all lush and green. It's a bit of an experiment - we'll see how it goes :)

    3. My Angel tank is way overdue for a rescape but it is so settled and stable I don't want to mess with it.

    Good to be back :)

    Hi @Jenn and welcome back!

Good luck with your Oscar tank plans, if it works, i think it will look stunning

I would love to do something like that but most of my fish are jumpers so too scared to take a chance...

    Thanks @MariaS

You're right... It would be too risky with jumpers. O well, you'll just have to get another tank with fish that don't jump :-D

    Hi @Jenn ,
Saw you active on the forum just now for the first time in a while. Would love an update and pics of your wetland (sounds intriguing) and other systems if still up and running! Please :)

    Hi @A new day :)
Yes, it has been a while. I have no more tanks in the house, but I am thinking of starting just 1 inside.

The wetland pool has been successfully repaired. Yay! for Cemcrete :) The leak turned out to be many quite large holes caused most probably by substandard workmanship.

Little, the Oscar was so happy in the bigger temp pool that we had to build a permanent pond outside - Cemcrete again. In winter the pond is solar heated during the day and electrically heated at night (don't ask  ). You can see him in the pic.

My wetland pool is excessively large - LOL - but I love it. I'll post some pics in a separate thread.
