    Howzit everyone

The suction cups on my heater and filter refuse to stick anymore and was wondering if there is a way to rejuvenate them somehow? I don't know if they are sold separately at the LPS and would be a nice little trick to learn if there is one.

Yes you can buy them seperate at the LFS
what works well for me is when you do a water change add a bit of silicone behind the cup and leave for an hour to set then add water

You can also put it in hot water for awile to soften the cups. Most of them return to their relaxed position. Yes, most LFS do have a selection of spare suction cups...

Agree with Gert - I put mine in a cup of VERY hot water for 5 minutes - Hey presto - all soft and sucky again

Depending on how old they are, the hot water method is a good one. New ones are quite inexpensive.

I can imagine! If it is sold at LPS then I will pick some up hopefully at lunch time. Was also looking for a quick fix until I could make my mind up about getting a new filter. Think my O2 levels arent 100% and dont have a test kit to test. Fish tend to go to the surface alot and need to get one of those 'breather tubes' as cant move the filter up to the surface to naturally airate the tank. If that makes sense...
