Hi guys n gals. Im new to the forum so hopefully this is in the right section. I have a 80cm redtail catfish that i urgently need to sell. I am from capetown and am wondering if anyone in the area even has a pond / tank big enough to house this beast. Hoping this forum will help my cause. Thanks

Firstly you need a MASSIVE tank for this one as it can grow to 1.2 meters easily.

Due to the urgency of this situation, this sale thread will be allowed even though redtailcatfish has so few posts.

    Regards

Good luck dude! you might want to swap it for another fish... I had the similar situation with a tiger shovel nose catfish.. I got this innocent little 15cm fishy for just R100 and within 4 months it was already 50cm, it ate my pangasias, my gourami and my first silver arowana. :bawling: then it started to attack my clown knife fish! Luckily I swapped it for another arowana (poor sucker).
Since its already 80cm, my best advice for you is maybe donate it to a zoo..
