    Mine was tame. Caught them with a BIG net and put them in a 20l bucket...

    Okay cool, only reason I'm asking is I saw a red oscar taking the skin off a lady's finger at one of our LFS'

    holy crap, thats hectic ruan, i have an albino oscar, thats 20cm, he nipped my finger a few times but no skin was taken off...

    LOL, this one is quite large and very aggressive. Thats where my fear/love of oscars started.

    you guys do know that oscars dont really have teeth - what took the skin off the lady's finger is most prob the gills

    How does this work? Are the gills serrated?

    if you look at front of the gills there is a rather sharp bone like structure - not sure what they are called - the gills are attached to the fish with these bones

    I used to keep O's...
    I had 3 tiger and 2 albinos...
    They were about 16cm...
    They used to eat from my hand...

    ya they nice n all for a minte tthen the fighting and the killing i had enough so im selling my 2 beautiful 27 cm tiger oscars @ R250 to some doctor haha sucker!
