Red Eye Tetra disease??

    I've only ever seen this in Red Eye Tetras that the lips start hardening and eventually corrodes until it's unmovable (mouth forms a large "O" shape & cannot close) and subsequently, the fish dies (being unable to eat).

    Is this "mouth fibrosis" unique to the Red Eye tet, What causes it, and can it be cured???

    NB... it is not mouth fungus.
