Well i was supposed to be completing my little nano project but at the same time had to empty out my 6 foot tank, so i move all my stuff to my spare 4 foot, which will be the tank im gonna keep, for a while anyways. so heres my scaping attempt please as always comments will be greatly appreciated. tried some glosso as well, will see how that works out. then i added some moss but i dont think it will work out as i have SAE's and they are moss destroyers.

Looking good Linga .. nice drift wood scaping they virgin or reused?

"think it will work out as i have SAE's and they are moss destroyers" hmm I was under the impression that true SAE's do not eat moss - might be wrong.

Would look super cool if the moss did take and you could do a nice moss wall on the back right - will need to move the heater.

thanks for the comments guys. i know i know been looking around for some nice cardinals for a while now, but the LPS wants 30 bucks for them, im not gonna fork out R1000 for the 30 or so im looking for. so for now its just the fish i had in my other tanks. I hope the Anubias takes but then the rock may not be rough enough but will wait and see, by the way that Anubias was basically rizome only had a bad BBA infestation and had to do some serious trimming, glad to see its actually growing quite nicely now.

Ferdie - i got the SAE's for my BBA outbreak they chow teh stuff like sweets, so they are the true guys, have all the right markings etc. every moss site i have checked has listed them as moss eating fish, and i have seen them just chilling on the moss patch and having a bite. the wood is from a old system so had it for years.

odd, but im only going with what i read, and from what i have seen with my ones. they are definately true SAE's thou, or a perfect copy with a taste for BBA maybe just some of them have a taste for moss, well all fish are different i suppose, hit or miss most of the time

This is why I like this hobby - even the fish do not stick to the rules and we all have to assume that it is more like guidelines. Good thing fish do not have TASA like access - they be like " my feeder makes home snacks and thinks I do not eat moss - but I take a nibble when the krib passes by" ....

Linga at the end of the day its about what works for you and your fish ... keep the pics coming. If your SAEs love your current type of moss maybe try a different type for the wall.

yep man gotta love this hobby, i think its great that fish of the same species behave differently, thou they may be thousands of them in the world it makes you feel that your little guy is special and unique. well they are going after the taiwan moss so im gonna throw in a nice big patch of java for them the enjoy and maybe leave the taiwan alone to grow out a bit. and who knows maybe i can get nice lush moss that doesnt need trimming as my SAE's will do it for me. just need to get the quantities high enough so that they dont cause the moss to receed.

ok little bit of an update. havent really done anything, tank is low maintenance. need to do a water change its been about 10 days since the last one :). the glosso didnt make it, was very doubtfull in this low light no C02 tank, no growth on the moss the SAE's just keep mowing it.
But, yes but, my stem plant in the back left corner and seriously just gone crazy :).
