    Hello every one

For the first time today I have noticed a random plant growing in my fish tank
I think the reason is that I did use river sand from a river and a plant spore, seed, etc... has germinated in my fish tank here are som pic of the wild plants [IMG]
This one looks like a type of Grass

    Is this not cool
    Well for me it is
Should I leave them to grow?
Or should I take them out?

Naw, leave it and see what it grows. I had a shamrock growing submersed - didn't know that there was a seed ball in it and it just grew. I had a good laugh though.

Didn't you sterilize the river sand?

No I did not because it is a native fish and invertebrates fish tank and I didn't want to miss with the condition they were in in the wild

Real answer-I forgot but nothing bad has happened yet

    Was just wondering. Cool.
I'm way too scared of parasites and bacteria and nasties. Wish I had your guts. Only stuff I stick in my tank is from my LFS.

Sometimes you have to have even bigger guts to stick stuff from the lfs in your tanks:lol:

I would leave it in @Bradley Bunch I can't see it causing any problems a lot of ppl spend to much energy on sterilising this and that in the wild there is nothing like that I don't do it and my shrimps which are my way of telling all is fine I have in all my tanks and they are breeding like crazy plus haven't lost a fish in months and that was old age

Leave it - nothing will happen - unless it's a plant that is not aquatic and then it will probably just fizzle out on its own.

I would also leave it. Keep us updated on the growth.

I would be exited if plants randomly start to grow in my tank.
