Ramshorn snails

    Question, is ramshorn snails good for planted system? Reason for question is will they harm the plants. Also looks like they produce a lot of waste themselves.

    Don't put them in to any aquarium. Unless you want a snail aquarium. The saying should be "Breed like snails" not "breed like flies or rabbits"

    Ramshorn Snails will inevitably land up in just about all planted tanks. I actually quite like the little guys as they aid in keeping algae at bay and don't really become a pest unless you overfeed. I have never had any plants harmed.
