We put the female back in with the male after removing the babies and they immediately started displaying..

The pictures do not do the colour justice

I think we got about 60+ babies from this pair. The babies are really looking good already, the black in their dorsal fins are beginning to show now.

The other Ram pairs babies became freeswimming on Saturday and the third pair has eggs again and will hopefully not eat them this time.

The pair shown in the pics spawned again today, about 100 eggs on a small piece of slate...

Slojo - The male has the erect spines on the dorsal fin and finnage is normally longer than the female

I'm interested in these fish too...

What size tank would be suitable for a pair?
    Are they expensive?(+-)?
    Are they difficult to find?
    suitable tankmates?:wondering:
