I must agree if they have discus like those. there colouring is great and they look relaxed with no stress bars that one usually gets in LFS discus.

They actually have some awesome pleco`s, just hard to get a decent pic of them, pic of the Zebra pleco took about 20 mins of waiting for one of them to make an appearance, and the pic had to be cropped allot

I thought I recognized the plants on the substrate and the fish.

They usually have some nice fish. The shop is just a little small.

They are expanding, will be double the current size once finished and with a small marine section because of my constant complaining.

Just for the record, jpvd007, the fishes in pic 2 and 3 cannot show stress bars because they are derived from pidgeon bloods, pic 1 shows stress bars, but pic 4 less so.

I just wonder what the price tag on the zebra was?

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

I'm sure it was not cheap. they are beautiful, @Dirk do they have the same tendency to get aggressive with discus as there spotted and high fin counterparts.(zebra pleco's)

    No Jason,

Zebras are extremely shy and need a tank of their own as even discus are too boisterous for them, they are the complete opposite of plecos. The price of zebras is also so high that you would put them in a separate tank of their own, and roll out your prayer mat in front of the tank every morning and bow down deeply asking them to please survive....

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

I must add that this tank is heavily planted with a lot of hiding space. Each time I enter the shop I see a couple of new fish in that tank, but most of the 'new' ones have been in there for quite some time... :) But yes, if a LFS host these creatures then I feel better buying from them as well. The owner has an affection towards pleco's and ancistrus, so I'm sure he takes well care of them, with somebody such as Singularity to keep him on his toes :)

I remember a few years back I was there and I was in this really great fish shop. Everything was neat and tidy. All the fish tanks were in a separate room and every fish tank had it's own net (something I don't see often), they also had some mudskippers sitting on half submerged driftwood. They also had a nice display tank with a large school of tetra's.

I also ponder the price of that zebra ?

Yeah Good_times that was a nice pet shop, but the owner sold and now he sells purified drinking water. The new owner of the place you talk about is still okay, but I don't like how they leave the filters off during the day to save electricity or noise or whatever... Luckily not the same shop of these pictures, this guy is doing a great job for us that can't travel to other great shops like the sponsors just for a couple of tetra or something :)
