PVC Weld

Good day

How ong after using PVC weld to glue pvc pipes together can one run water through them? Need a mod my spray bar.

if you are using pvc glue with in a hour

it will be dry but don't know if there will be a chemical off-let i build my filter with that glue and have no problems whatsoever but i had water running threw it for a day or so before i used it on tank

 

Safest is to leave it to cure for 24hrs

I would say a day at least and then run waste water through it for safety.

 

check the back of the PVC weld, it depends somewhat on the brand, and also what pressure you are running at... proper cure for high pressure....

 

Thanks for all the advice and feedack. Will do it over the weekend and add in internal filter for so long and re circulate the water in my sump.

 

Hmmm... please make sure it's PVC you're welding... I have dissolved some pump parts using PVC weld....
