Pretoria zoo :)

    hello everyone :) today i went to the pretoria zoo aquarium and must say it was a very pleasent experience , dunno if anyones been there recently but i havnt in ages and seeing some of their new exhibits( big lake malawi setup is very pretty) and monster fish was very nice like the red tail catfish... but Their Vundu takes the cake , its is gigantic :nuts: so if anyones considering i would really suggest it :)

    joburg and pretoria. i cant travel to pta everyday
    i love the zoo! particularly pretoria, nobody wants to go with me though, i went to the behind the scenes tour somone on here organised and it was awesome! i'll definately be going back soon.

    went a couple weeks back, some of the exhibits were still under construction, but i thought it was the most maintained and interesting part of Pretoria zoo.

    I used to go to both the Aquarium and Zoo often as a kid. Haven't been for ages though.

    i am uploading them now :D i Think Tasa should try have a tour or something there , although i lost interest at the saltwater exhibits:notrust: haha

    been there in 2005 but didnt see any fish, just a sorrowful polar bear and other mammals. So pics for the non pretorians will be cool

    They really have done well setting up the aquarium there.
    The tanks are always very clean and the small space is very well used!!
    The guy who runs the aquarium side is also a very friendly chap (sorry I can't remember his name).
    If anyone bumps into him (dunno how you'd know it was him tho) you must try chat, he was very keen to show us around the place.

    What is always a good test is that behind the scenes was very clean and organised as well!!
