Pretoria Zoo Aquarium

Here are some fone pics from Pretoria Zoo. Last i've been there was about 2 years ago and the large display tank had massive red tail catfish and pacu, now it has 2 zambezi sharks. Anyone know what happened to those huge fish.

How is it there? Iv never been there Might be good for a social?

Atleast your Zoo's are more than decent compared to Cape Town's.

 

Wow I've been there a few times and But I never knew about the Aquarium

 

I think Durban takes it? Never been to that one either, just heard.

peaceful, but a little bit on the hungry side...

 

i was there like a year ago, they had a huge giant gourami ! i want to go back, i was only getting into fish that time and didnt know so much!

 

man these are awesome picts,now the pirana tank is the type of tank that I would like to have.(not the same fish though)

 

I was quite impressed with the Aquarium at the Docks.

 

Yip, PTA zoo has decent freshwater tanks, can't say the same about their marine tanks though(they have fake coral in them). Does anyone here remember the huge freshwater tank that they had?

 

I remember the tank with the Pacus, but that is not the marine tank that you are talking about with the raggies. The shark tank has been there for ages. One of the guys working there got bit by a raggie once. Only person ever bitten by a shark in Pretoria.

 

Very late reply, the big Red tail is in the massive pond outside. The guy was feeding some Pcu in the same pond when the big guy came out. Pretty awesome

 

Have been in Aquarium in Seoul, South korea. Im so so sad about that coz i was also not into fish at that stage. Super impressive!
