    Hi All

I am thinking of starting up a 4ft predator tank.

With this i hope to include 2 x Eels ( not sure what type yet )
1 x Black Ghost Knife Fish
    2 x Birchir

I might replace the knife fish with some thing else, maybe a school of barbs

    any idea's?

    Hi PeterWest

Note that the the Black Ghost Knife fist & the Birchir grows up to 50cm in length and a 4ft would not be an ideal tank for them at adulthood.

Sigar Barbs are big enough not to get eaten . . . . tinfoils maybe?

I wonder if arowanas and bichirs get along?

i had two of them with my tinfoils and bala's. a 20cm platinum and and a 10cm armoured. the 10 cm polypterus got eaten whole. polypterus will fight each other.

anyway.. the bala's, tinfoils and clown loaches get a along fine with him.

difficult to feed him with that combo tho, tinfoils eat everything in sight in seconds, i drop in algae wafers etc in for him after lights out, he swallows them whole.

live feeders dropped in after lights out are the best. live feeders need to be slow swimmers..

beautiful creatures, they are curious and love to rest on a piece of mopani wood and watch you :)
