Not being one to re-invent the wheel, I thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience growing this?
I found it in the Onrus river, growing fully immersed. This is probably not legal, but I waded in and pulled out a small section, potted it and sank it into my goldfish barrel.

It has survived transplant without a qualm. I have read in old threads that it is most likely indigenous (I hope!) but if you know better, pls let me know?

Has anyone tried growing this in an aquarium?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tracy

    Thanks, Ferdie!

hmm.. ok, it's "always been there" (Rietvlei), so I guess indig? It sounds like it'll go ballistic in a tank...

    guess I get to try!

Seems like it - sanspark et al also list it on a few sites and nobody says it should be eradicated other than boat owners.

Will be interesting to see how it does in your tanks. Keep us posted - with some pics when you have some.

    Later Ferdie
