    I just thought i would start a thread where everyone would post their
    first tanks here. I will start
    The tank is a 80litre and i had it in grade four or five

    LOL - yes goldfish, I still use the tank - 3 of the fish are living in the pond outside - car got stepped on, some plants still around.

    not bad for a first tank allot better than mine lol
    just take away the gravel add some sand let the plants grow out and add a ornamental fish like a betta
    and take away the car and put a nice pice of driftwood in ( i would keep it in my room.)

    Its just a pitty that the fast growing plants takes up all the space in no time and then when I tried "trimming" it, I stuffed it up.

    My first tank was 15 years ago, it had some plastic plants at first, an ancient type of filter, gemstones collected from the Scratch Patch as a substrate, and a sunken ship with a hole I very much wanted to see my Neons make use of (after four years of goldfish I got Neons and my Characin craze started). I might still have a pic of my 60L overstocked but healthy Characin-only tank overgrown with Cabomba and Amazon swords but I think we lost those pics on a faulty harddrive.

    my first real planted tank was abt 2005.. come along way since then :p

    air filters and a powerhead,
    DIY Lights,
    silicate substrate,
    dying plants :p

    yep :p my first one as well.. was so amazed at the science.. was so happy when plants were pearling too :)

    ive moved on to better days now.. theres no beating pressurised co2

    I started this tank in december.....
    After joining this forum i changed it but fast!!!
