I just thought i would start a thread where everyone would post their
first tanks here. I will start
The tank is a 80litre and i had it in grade four or five

very bad and very dirty and excuse the glare

 

My Tank that i had when i joined the forum-also first fish tank.
20Litre



Was way overstocked.

 

mine in 2008 October when I started

 

LOL - yes goldfish, I still use the tank - 3 of the fish are living in the pond outside - car got stepped on, some plants still around.

 

not bad for a first tank allot better than mine lol
just take away the gravel add some sand let the plants grow out and add a ornamental fish like a betta
and take away the car and put a nice pice of driftwood in ( i would keep it in my room.)

Franna - blame the LFS ... they see noobs coming from a mile.

Its just a pitty that the fast growing plants takes up all the space in no time and then when I tried "trimming" it, I stuffed it up.

 

My first tank was 15 years ago, it had some plastic plants at first, an ancient type of filter, gemstones collected from the Scratch Patch as a substrate, and a sunken ship with a hole I very much wanted to see my Neons make use of (after four years of goldfish I got Neons and my Characin craze started). I might still have a pic of my 60L overstocked but healthy Characin-only tank overgrown with Cabomba and Amazon swords but I think we lost those pics on a faulty harddrive.

DIY Lights,
silicate substrate,
dying plants

yep my first one as well.. was so amazed at the science.. was so happy when plants were pearling too

ive moved on to better days now.. theres no beating pressurised co2

 

This was my first tank. Started with fish on my marine tank in 2005.

 

I am too old for this thread, I never had a camera in the 80s

 

I started this tank in december.....
After joining this forum i changed it but fast!!!

Nah, I think one of my tanks would be the worst on the Forum, but we'll never know, as I won't post a pic of it! hehe!!
