Not sure if this could be called a planted tank but its my Parachromis dovii tank that houses my pair. For those who dont know what a dovii is. Its the biggest and baddest Central American cichlid. Males reaching 75cm and females about 55cm. Mine are at about 19 and 16cm now so still a long way to go. But here's a full tank shot. I am running 2 80 watt 8000k t5 bulbs and currently dosing phosphate and potassium nitrate once a week after water changes. The tank is 1000l and 7 foot long.

Wow that's a big tank. Sorry to go a little off topic but what thickness glass was used to build that?

@Michael11: Wow is that the sword that you bought from me that has grown so large? Also technically there is a Piranha display tank in the UK that is fully planted around 18 000 litres.

Tank is built from 10mm glass with very good bracing by kenilwoorth aquriums. Water height is at 75cm. And no @swagasurus the plants are all from barb king when I bought his planted setup. But the plants look very happy. They have been in for about a week and already about 4 new leaves on each type of sword.

Dorry pets have a 2m x 1m x 600mm planted tank. That's 1200L of planty goodness. So, a little bigger than yours. Theirs looks something like this though:

Well my tank I wouldn't call planted. Right now it's a tank with 3 plants in. Later on I do what to get a thicker layer of gravel. Scape my wood nicely as I have another piece about 80cm long . Take the swords out of the pots and make it look more natural. Any advice will be welcomed. Remember this is a monster cichlid tank so will only keep ferns and swords. What trace elements should I dose for such a big tank ?.
