    Good morning all,
Doing some "home-work" regarding my Malawi's - which I had now for almost two years.

I have about 150 mbunas (mixed) and about 25-30 haps (Borleys, Venustus) that I want to sell.

At this stage I'm not selling for sure - just want to see what one can potentially get for all of these..
    The size range from 5cm - 12cm...

All healthy and really awesome fish. I just can't afford the hobby anymore :-(

    @Wandrag,

In my experience there isn't much of a market for rehomed fishes.
You probably won't get a lot for them. Someone will hopefully take them from you, and give you a small amount, but it's not likely to be big money.

    Thanks...
    :-(
Was hoping to at least get a bit for them....
Even if it's a portion of retail price

Hello. There have been a few posts advertising cichlids for sale. Check out the classifieds for livestock and you should see the different varieties for sale as well as ask prices.
That should give you a better idea

    You should get something.
But it may not be as much as you were expecting.

I went through this a few years ago.
Tried to sell Mbuna stock. Had one or two very low offers.
Ended up taking them to the lfs and trading for fish for a new setup

you can probably get about R50-R80 per fish for your male haps if they are coloured up and good quality. There is not much of a demand for mbunas .

Maybe make a listing in the "for sale" section, and see what happens ?
