    Hello everyone

Seeing that pool salt is also sodium chloride and non-iodized it can be used in our aquariums. I know a fellow hobbyist told me that he uses it with no issues. It's costing R20 per kg in most petshops. So if you buy a 25kg bad of pool salt it works you out to like R4.40 per kg.

What type of salt is pool salt?
    sodium chloride
Unlike chlorine, pool salt is actually just standard NaCl, sodium chloride. It is really just table salt in a different form. The primary difference is that pool salt comes in a larger cuts or sizes. The two chemical elements that comprise pool salt are sodium and chlorine.
