Polystyrene in Cape Town?

Does anyone know where I can buy a flat sheet of polystyrene?
I want to put this under the rocks that I want to put in my tank.
Don't want the rock directly on the glass bottom.

 

any art store or some builders warehouses also sells it

Yip, got it at a really good price at Builders recently - nice and thick as well!!!!!

 

It was R24 for a 1200 x 500 x 15mm

It was interesting to take it to my bakkie!! With the wind we have today it was all over the place

 

Thanks Zoom, didn't think of that, but you're right yeah. Think Milnerton is closest to us anyhow, unless there's a builders in Panorama/Plattekloof somewhere.

For larger pieces and bulk, you can go to Sagex in Bellville industrial. They supply most hardware stores, and all the refrigeration co's as well as the roof insulatig industry.
We got material from them last year, to insulate the roof of a 30m x 40 m winecellar!
They also have the polystyrene with coating on both sides, that will last longer, and give even better isolation!

Only needed a small piece for under the rock I'm putting in my tank.

 

LOL. Next time you buy a microwave, remember to keep the flat pieces that came as packaging material, in the box!

the correct name for Ysterplaat, paarden island, milnerton, table view, parklands, sunning dale west beach etc etc etc etc is actuallllllllllllly all Milnerton if you look at the titledeeds

BW calls the YPLT branch their Milnerton or City branch

 

LOL There's a place next to where I work called Cape Cornicing (or something like that) apparently they've got a LOT of this stuff, so I'm going to go there this after to find out about taking a few cut offs

The correct name for that branch is BW City. Our company does their POS systems for them.
