Hi everyone :) i have a 60 L tank with 2 male dwarf gouramis , 3 guppies and 2 peppered cory cats. I saw some Plecostomuses today and was wondering if they would be a good edition to the tank or not so much? i do have plants in my tank and want to add more and there are also a few hiding spaces in the tank also. so any suggestions on this fish?

As @tracyp said, not a good choice! Here's a picture I found that illustrates just how big these things can get :D

I also think you should look at getting an ancistrus (but you'll pay more for them), or you could even consider some ottos (otocinclus) - they'll get along with the others in the tank and they also take care of algae. I've never kept ottos though, so I am not sure what they are like to keep and care for. Someone with otto experience could tell you more about whether or not they'd be a good choice.

I also think you should add some more corys to that setup - add another three of the peppered corys (they like to be kept in groups of 6+), and maybe add some albino ones or panda ones - they'll look nice against the darker peppered corys.

I have peppered and peru black cory's and they get along perfectly. I agree with previous sentiments - rather get an ancistrus.

I keep an ancistrus in my 70l tanks and so far no issues. But be warned that you will hardly every see him. Make sure you have some wood at least for the ancictrus to nibble on. They like to eat the wood and although they do clean up some algae not all will be eaten.

It all depends on the size of the fish you have and how many as well as the kind of filtration.

I have the Aquaclear 30 HOB on it and currently I am stocking 10 Cardinals, 1 ancictrus and 1 Male Betta. I honestly never know how many is to many, but I rather play safe.

I just keep the one since when they are young it is hard to sex them and they can be aggressive towards each other. So I just have one and it is plenty - keep in mind they don't touch BBA.

How many fish in total is in the tank
