    I have read that its possible but,
    In nature they do so in river banks, so you need to pipes etc to hide. IE a suitable enviroment.
    Secondly sexing is almost impossible

    Well, bristlenoses are part of the pleco family, so yeah, some plecs can be bred.

    If you're talking about the larger plecostomus species (ie: common and high-fin), then you'd need to have a very large tank, mature specimens and some good research in order to try and recreate the right conditions. They breed them large scale in ponds, so I don't see why they wouldn't breed in a tank.
