Seen as though my ancistrus died recently i went and purchased a Pleco (The normal black 1's). Now what can you / suposed to feed these guys? I know my ancistrus used to eat cucumber on the rare occasion, but i would just like to know what can i or should i feed this guy?

My P.Disjunctivus (besides sinking tabs) so far eats cucumber, ( only the inner white/seed part) mushrooms, courgette, watermelon (messy) and I've heard they like broccolli as well.
I only feed it raw, so now nutrient loss or easier fowling of water.
Oh and he also occasionally grubs on the driftwood.

An assortment of vegetables, as has been suggested above.

The sinking tabs works great and once they disolve the other fish will eat them too but
yes most of the vegi they love...please remember to boil it a bit (pop with water into microwave) 30-60 secs
this will allow it to sink... else they will not swim to the top and eat it.
if it sinks, watch! in 2 mins max they will be right on top of it

I've fed my ancistrus spawns cucumber, baby marrow and lettuce. The little ones really love lettuce.

I found that my Pleco loves the Hikari Algae wafers. Apart from that I blanch some baby marrows in the microwave for about a minute and a half for a weekly treat. He loves it. Taking that he is now at about 40cm I'd say that it's very good for him. When he was very young he also liked the freeze dried tubi-flex blocks.

I don't parboil mine because of nutrients & fouling as previously mentioned, as for the floating. I just use a stainless steel paperclip and bend it straight then stick it through the back of sucker cup and make a hook, then just before lights out I stick it at the top against the side.It did however take 3 tries with baby marrow and cucumber for him to realise there's green food.
Know my plec doesn't waste time and goes straight for the feeding spot.
Although I hear some just use a fork to keep it weighed down.
To each his own I guess.

I forgot to mention mine also loves the tubifex. I made this sawn of pill box covered with mesh to weigh down the worms for the khuli's and cory's, but later the big guy also started to join in.
