    @pilot terror - with LunaTic on this one, "pretty big" is putting it softly. They reach around 50cm.

    What size tank do you have? They are also not friendly towards certain plants, they suck them dry so provide plenty of algae wafers, baby marrow and cucumber and will also make a snack of any moss you may have.

    Mine had plenty of personality (R.I.P) and I simply adored him. They just get big pretty fast...

    Ps: He's beautiful by the way!

    For the pleco and the 2 thicklips I would advise a minimum size of 1.5m and that is still restricting on the pleco though

    @pilot terror

    I'm with Double-D on this one. They require a huge amount of space, a minimum of somewhere between 500 and 600 liters. They also create an enormous amount of waste and you will have to siphon on a daily basis.

    Best advice I can give is to find him a new home as soon as possible. The bigger he gets the harder he will take to relocation. I found a new home for mine but sadly he did not make the trip, it's not easy to find people with such enormous tanks.

    If you bought him from a lfs - take him back.

    It's hard advice, especially if one has become attached to a fish already but it's the best I can give. I bawled my eyes out when mine didn't make it. His name was Electrolux.

    Yup,
    Agree with what has been said above.
    These get bigger than what the average tank can accomodate.
    Been debated before, but I don't think they should be sold as regularly as they are.

    I understand, it's though but I will look into a new home for him then because i do not want him to be sold again to another person with too small a tank, thank you for all the advice guys

    That's a high-fin pleco. They don't get as big as the common pleco but still fairly large. Usually about 25-30cm if they are fed well, and sometimes bigger. They can be used in smaller tanks than a regular pleco, but still, getting a bigger tank is always best.

    What makes you say it's a high fin rather than the sail fin Pleco?

    They are the same thing. Many LFS's get them in and call them different names. Gibbiceps pleco, hifin or sailfin pleco.

    To large for a 60cm tank? then yes, it will. They still need large tanks and are very messy when it comes to poop...

    Adult fish can easily attain a length of 50cm in a aquarium and live for more than 20 years.
