Hi guys. I recently bought a male betta from the LFS that was sold as a Half moon. I posted pics of him and @Charles and @HennieRoux told me he was a delta tail. Not that I dont regard their advice, but when I googled delta tail bettas and their tails were bigger than his. Then I got wondering if he was a delta tail. So i googled some more and I think he might be either a plakat ot round tail betta. If anyone, especially the betta experts, could tell me what he is, this would help me find him a partner as I want to breed him as a trial for breeding bettas.
Here is the link to the site I found:

His top fin and bottom fins are to long to be a plakat - trust me you will know which one it is. I would say he is a young delta or maybe round tail.

Hi, I remember your post, and it depends on the age, and u right deltashave larger fins, it does look like a round tail, if he is mature. But def not a plakaat or even close to a plakaat. You can mix him with any tail type u desire, perhaps a crown tail would be good.

OK then, thanks guys. Dont think he is fully mature but I think he is a bit big to have such a small tail for a delta but I am really new to all these bettas. All i knew a while ago was veil tails, and that was just a siamese fighter. :)
