Please check my stocking levels

As the title says, please help me check if I'm over stocked and if the combination seems ok. I tried aqadvisor but it's swearing at me.

It is a standard 6ft tank.
At the moment I have 7 angels all relatively big.
5 Rosy tetras
2 Black phantom tetras
3 Albino ancistrus all male
1 banjo catfish
1 lone discus
2 tiny convict cichlids (just temporary until they get some size)

I was thinking of adding 3 female ancistrus, 5 more rosy tetras, one more angel and a leopard gourami.

Would that be ok?

 

Hi mate. The 1 discus is not going to work in that tank. I would remove him and keep the others.

 

Ok was thinking the same thing,just need to find him a home then. Anybody want a cheap discus?

 

Where are you? And the price? And maybe a photo?

Whats your filtration?

Yeah agreed that the discus wont be happy in that tank.

 

I have one of those built in overflow filter with a powerhead.

 

It would be great to have some pics of the tank to assess the level of cover, hiding places, swimming space etc. All these factors will need to be included in determining carrying capacity.

 

The tank is not complete yet. Still needs a light and some more plants. Will be adding that in the days to come

 

Not too sure about the filter and it's capacity, but filtration plays a lot in how much you can stock.

But for a 6ft tank, that stock looks fine to me personally. But again I emphasize on filtration vs bio load.

What plants are you planning on keeping? and what lights are you using for the plants?

 

Planning on mainly using anaubias and vallis. The tank gets a fair amount of sunlight so I expect some algae growth but not too worried. Haven't decided on lighting thought maybe you guys can "shed some light" hehehe on what would be needed. Not going to be adding CO2.

The tank use to house 4 oscars and with my usual 25% water changes each week I never had any water parameter problems so I believe I should be OK as long as I don't overstock or overfeed
