pleas help with ID

    1 Echinodorus major
    2 Hygrophila corymbosa
    both emersed growth

    thanks for the reply City B, have u got any knowledge regarding these plants no2 is shooting roots out of the sides of the stems at an incredible rate growing at least 20mm per day towards the substrate

    no1 Echinodorus major = rufled sword
    no2 Hygrophila corymbosa = giant hygro

    The hygrophilia is quite a fast grower. Take them out of their pots and plant them in your substrate. These leaves will die in the next couple of weeks or so and be replaced by submersed leaves, the sword plant will look very different to how it looks now. when you plant it cut the roots back hard to 20 mm or so remove any damaged or yellowing leaves.

    ok, i already planted them a week ago or so in my substrate, i didnt know that i should clip the roots of the sword, the hygrophila is growing side roots like mad, i will try and post pics later
