Want to start my own planted tank. I have everything needed except the plants. I live in Kirkwood so my nearest large city would be Port Elizabeth. Can anybody help with where I can purchase plants from ?

With all due respect... that's not much help considering you need 10 posts before you CAN pm anyone!
I'm hoping someone pm'd more helpful info.
@Amnethyst I've sent you a pm. Hope it helps a bit!

Firefly, anything is welcome. Please advise on the costs for the plants and postage.

Bit of moss in a bank baggie - slip into envelope and should just cost you standard postage... Done it before and worked fine... even on less hardy stuff... Cost of a postage stamp and envolope...lol

Was thinking of something like that. Still going to check out prices on boxes because I have lots of Echinodorus horizontalis.

Nothing at the moment. Consider it as an experiment.

    Hi Amnethyst,

I will be trimming some hornwort when I get back from my trip to Pretoria (leaving 3rd, returning 11th), you are welcome to have some if you can hold out that long. If you are planning a trip to PE on the 2nd or before midday on the 3rd I can do a quick trim for you.

    Let me know.

    Regards
    Eugene

Costs involved? Only fuel to come fetch it :)

I will also have some juvenile leopard danios that I need to find a home for. Let me know if you are interrested.

I have a spare tank that I am currently fitting out that I can use for those leopards. I'll give them a home.

This is what I LOVE about this Forum - a new guy joined and gets helped out quick-quick... +1 to you @Firefly ...

While back joined a international forum and asked their moderators to remove my subscription after a week when NO ONE even said hi to my introductory post... Wrote them a lekker snotty reply to how unfriendly they all are - THEN the reply's started pouring in flaming me... Not one said hi though... Long live TASA!!!
