What is the chance of separating the planted tank section.

    Into:
    Low light (Beginner)
    Medium light (Intermediate)
    High light (Advanced)

I think that it would be very useful for planted tank newbies.
They could compare set-ups and see what plants they are capable growing in their current set-up.

I have seen too many threads of newbies wanting plants that their set-ups are not capable of growing successfully.

This would also help with fertilising regimes which differ over these set-ups.
Fertilising is the most confusing part of the hobby,I'd hate people to give up because they have adopted the incorrect plants and fertilising regimes.

I find newbies get confused by all the forum thread clutter.

The main goal is to get more successful planted tank enthusiasts.
This puts pressure on the shops to bring in equipment and plants.
    And we all want that.

It will just need to be clear separation between the 3 groups.

Who is running what lights, in how deep tank etc...

We would need a sticky on each thread to give a breakdown of a standard low-light tank

It would concentrate the sections to make it more user friendly for newbies

Someone make the stickies to be and I'll split it and sticky them ;)
At the moment the section isn't really big enough for splitting however they do seem to be quite a few guys into plants here.

Nice idea. Maybe it will also stimulate more plant talk, on hand info and experience. I find knowledge and info in SA on aquatic plants is shockingly hard to find from anyone other than enthusiasts. Not even nurseries and lfs-s have a clue
