    Hi

Thought I’d make my first post about how my current tank is setup.

I should mention that this tank is currently just in its temporary form as I am intending to completely re-scape it properly later this year due to me collecting the items needed on a monthly basis. Can’t have an empty tank standing at the entrance of the house.

    Specs:

    • Tank: Standard 1.2m Jebo
    • Filter: Aqua One Aquis 1200 Cannister with a 750l/h flow rate
    • Heater: Jaeger 150w
    • Lights: 3 x Zedlight MS 120F
    • CO2: 5kg Cannister with ‘el-cheapo’ atomiser. 3 – 5 bps
    • Substrate: Pool filter sand only, with a little bit of old leftover Flourite Dark to top-cover the middle.
    • Hardscape: Dragon rock, river stones (for support only), I want to call that wood on the right driftwood, but not sure?
    • Plants: Hydrocotyle Tripartita, Hydrocotyle Verticillata, Heteranthera Zosterifolia, Hygrophila Salicifolia “Narrow Leaf”, Limnophila Sessiliflora, Rotala Rotundifolia, Ludwigia Palustris and Hygrophila Pinnatifida.
    • Ferts: I do not really have a dosing structure or schedule. Every odd day or so I add some Scape K & Trace.
    • Fish: ± 40 x Silver Tip Tetras

Pics taken this past weekend after a big trim. Replanted some of the Palustris as I want the left corner filled with it; hopefully this will be done in 2 or 3 months as it’s not a very fast grower. Will post more pics once growth has plumped out again.

I need to adjust the flow rate a bit as the current is a bit too strong for my liking. That's what's causing the slanted ambulia & rotala that you see in the photo.

The substrate is real crappy, I know, but it’s all I had a the time when setting up this tank. I had an Echinodorus Rubin in the tank but removed it; also had tons of Hygrophila Polysperma and removed it…way too invasive for my liking. I do have both these laying in a bucket for months now if anyone wants it? I can also give some Limnophila Sessiliflora and Hydrocotyle Tripartita cuttings if anyone wants? These grow quite easily.

Anyhoo, that’s me for now. Will keep you guys posted on developments.

    Cheers
