Plant me!!! plant me!!!

hi everybody, looking @ getting some life plants 4 my 100lt tank, inmates bala sharks rainbow sharks, mollies and a elephant nose. what plants will b good, and how do i go about plant them, fertilezer? lighting? etc, etc. thanks.

I don`t know the plants name but some one gave me plants that look like grass.
You just push it into the gravel.
One tank has a 15 w light.
And another tank(with plants) don`t even have a light but it gets a very little bit sun and the plants look good.

Do be careful! LPS's sell plants that aren't true aquatics. Go have a look, then research whats on offer before you waste money!

 

Those Bala Sharks will nibble on and eat pretty much any soft-leaved plants. Thick leaved plants are the best choice among these fish.

 

Thanks everyone, went 2 the store, they reckon i need 2 get special light (24w) 2 keep plants, cost 145 bucks & need ballast 120 smacks. r these norm prices???

 

imo.. The special lights r all good and stuff but ive grown plants with great success using phillips cool white tubes they like under 50bucks? Also, balasts vary.. If u looking at t8s they should b around 100?
