Plant ID please

I’m really tired of fake plants now so I’m new in the plant game. Can anybody please help me identify this plant? It’s really doing well.

Javafern - it needs to be tied onto a log or rock as the runner will rot and the plant will die if its under the sand

is this really so, cause my java's are all planted and are growing fine...


maybe it depends on your substrate or something?
or is it just a matter of time before they rot?

 

its only a matter of time before they start to rot. what you can do is to try and get the runner ontop of the substrate with the roots in the soil
