ok so at last iv opened a photo bucket account and posted some pics of my tank, new and old plantings. i havnt followed any type of design theme as i can view it from both sides, my main concern was providing cover for my fish and spawning areas for the danios. like i said the water in the old tank is just from the soil i used as a substrate, i do weekly water changes to try help control it. the new pics where taken straight after a water change. enjoy  http://s923.photobucket.com/albums/ad80/amberstorm-3/

yeah think they will spawn at 27, but what i do to stimulate mine is to do a water change with cold water and then turn the lights off, the next morning at sunrise/lights on spawning will begin. The cories will prob demolish the eggs in no time!
I put mine in a 1ft for the night. This is a new idea, i notice they swim around a lot when spawning so maybe add a dish covered in mesh into the tank and hopefully some of the fertilized eggs will land in the dish and be protected from cories by the mesh. Maybe add some moss on top of mesh to attract them. Once spawning is done carefully lift up dish, pour a little out to allow the dish to float....take it from there.
