Perfect 10 is my 37'th .. and first new tank since December 2014. Having seen so many awesome looking nano tanks in the last month or so - I thought I would give this a spin. Not sure where I will be putting it or what it will have as stock etc, but I have it and that is a start.

There's nothing like the feeling of a new tank when one is a aquarium hobbyist lol.

My one new tank is the same size, not quite as nice glass though and not as thick either.

Nano fish are the way to go, here's a bit of inspiration (very basic though)00000068.JPG

Yes that thicker glass makes it stand out. It's going to look so nice when the lights go on. Is it low iron glass?

Yeah I think you are all seeing what I am seeing. This is not our normal plate glass 3mm 4mm tank that we get from local guys - I am not 100% on if it is as low iron as say the ada tanks but it the extra thickness with that clarity does make the tank nice.

Funny thing is I looked at the 2ft from the same manufactures and it did not have the same shelf appeal as this little one - it is the smallest they make in the range.
@Hendre .. and I think it see the challenge in these small tanks right, it is hard to get proportions right. We had loads of fun with a small tank competition a few years back. That and some inspiration from what I saw in how small tanks of the real art - have to give this a spin.

How much does their range cost?

I'm struggling to find both hardscape and ideas, in these narrow tanks I think some height is in order. Tall wood or plants. I have a tall crypt variety which helps

Sure will send the updates once I start.

Range is from R350 this tank to R650 retail for the 2ft - and then in-between they have some other sizes.

That's good. My 30 litre was 170 though.

For the quality it seems to be great

More or less yeah. Pretty crazy given my 250 litre was R780 new. But the silicon is pretty messy :(

Stocking that's gonna be fun. Not too much in the way of scape ideal nano fish

Only noticed now - it is a floating base tank. Now that is a bit different, these are typically only done on larger tanks.

Clearly the small spare HOB I have is not going to work.

Just messing around a bit - think I need a touch more substrate to start with.

Interesting look. There are some small boyu HOBS that could work. Much more compact and may work for you :)
