    Good day all. Please can you advise me as to where I could purchase peat moss from ?
    I have tried the LFS and they dont stock it. Gauteng / Pretoria preferably ? Thank you.

    @Reedfish yeah thought of that but I am nervous trying the ones from a nursery as I am not sure if it safe for our wet pets :oops:

    I picked up a packet at builders warehouse. U can check by them in the garden section. I used it in my aquarium under my akadama soil.

    As long as it doesn't have any additives (usually fertiliser ) it should be ok.
    One has to be careful.

    I always got mine at the carnivorous plants section of a nursery. They are safe since I've used it in aquariums with Nothobranchius killifish before.

    Make sure that you get proper peat. Coco peat is a whole different animal.

    Safari garden centre in Lynwood has for sure. I got some there a while ago. You can also try Lots of Pots (also in Lynwood); they have an orchid division and sell peat moss inside the greenhouse.
