Partition or not to partition?

    Hi everyone.

    I was thinking recently about scrapping my UGF and putting in a box filter partition thing like those of the Boyu tanks except this one would be on the side. The tank is a 3ft, so with the partition the display part of the tank would be around 2.7.

    The main reason of putting this partition in is because I cannot afford to buy a canister filter.

    Are there any takes on this Idea?
