Paratilapia bleekeri - Starry night cichlid

Hallo TASA members.

I saw this fish on the internet and realized that I never saw it before. It's a beautiful fish and it is found in the waters of Madagascar. It's not on the BL.

Is there somebody that has seen this fish before in the Gauteng Province? I would really love to be the owner of one of these beautiful fish.

While on the subject of "why is it not available in S.A". Is there a specific reason why we don't get Electric blue Jack Dempsey cichlids in S.A either?

Electric blue dempseys are at the wholesalers - the shops just dont always order them

Thank you for replying to the post. I have been to two suppliers in Gauteng and nobody knows what I'm talking about when I ask for Electric Blue Jack Dempsey's. I reckon that it must be in Cape Town. It seems that I have to visit you guys down there.

On the Paratilapia - There was a guy in Potch breeding them about 5 years ago - used to get young ones on a regular basis from him... there muststill be some crawling around...Keep looking!

 

I will keep looking thank you very much Azurekoi. Wonder why some fish are so hard to get. It's usually the beautiful fish that should be on everybody's "wanted" list.
