Need to paint a wall in the lounge. Gonna use acrylic paint that dries quick. What to do? Just cover the tank with blankets and put a fan on?.

I normally just disable all air intakes for incase but something to cover wont do any harm so no paint drops in. Try and use power head instead of air pumps point them towards the surface. The more the surface breaks the more oxygenated the water will be.

When I painted my room, I used a big fan facing the room door to blow out the paint smell and left all windows open. Did it early in the morning so before it gets dark the paint could dry out and could on my air pumps for the night. Also covered all tanks with plastic and sealed it with tape, just to be safe left it sealed for few days.
