Paint safe for aquarium??

So there is a lot of discussion about paints to use for diy projects on the web, but I still can't find anyone saying 'yes' to anything other than Krylon Fusion..

My question: IS THE BRAND 'SPRAY MATE' SAFE TO USE IN MY AQUARIUM? I want to simply paint the pvc overflow black.

Since spray mate is a SA company it might be hard to find true web qualified answers - if such a thing exists.

They have a motto "Their ethos was always C.A.R.E. – Customers Are Really Everything!"

Might be wrong, but i think most are fine once they cured PROPERLY

 

Might be easier to make a new overflow using black pipes

"Regarding toxicity they would be fine.. but unfortunately none of our products take well to being constantly submerged under water...

I don’t think you're going to come right with a solvent based paint option for this.. acrylic products perform far better under water.. unfortunately true acrylic paints are not available in an aerosol can..
