am i over stocked or not? have a 2ft 60l tank. have the following fish:

    9 neons
    7 guppies (not too big)
    2 small cory's

have 2 filters running. one is a submersible 200lp/h power filter and the other is an external HOB 570lp/h. no live plants. am considering adding 2 baby angels into the tank and a baby rainbow shark. all advice is appreciated.

also have a small 1ft tank to use if need arises (fry and maybe quarantine tank if required)

I think you're fine. But I would not add any more fish, unless you want to get another Cory or 2 for the tank. They do best in schools.

That seems fine for a 60L. I wouldn't add any angels, and certainly not a rainbow shark - those fish will potentially outgrow the tank, and I can see both bullying the smaller fish. I had a pair of adult angels that killed off five baby angels I had, and the adults were added after the babies. Go with more cories - they are happiest in groups of 6+.

Don't get a rainbow shark unless you have a larger tank, I had two (before I read forums and knew they do not go with similar body types of fish) in a 3ft with 2 full grown angels... I now have one in a 4ft and it is way better.

Also Angels do get large, not that fast, but they do, and without adequate space they get stressed and chase other fish. I understand you want to add nice fish to your tank, I feel the same way, but you will be better off with adding a couple of cories and some plants (Plants should be easy top get in PE, there is some great growers in PE).

Best thing you have done is to ask first :)

Also I see you mention the sizes, remember that fish grow faster than you expect, and Guppies do reproduce. You have a nice selection of top (guppies), bottom (cories, but get more of the same species) and middle (neons), stick with that and make it AWESOME with some plants hehe.

Does your filters create a lot of surface movement? I'm referring to movement and not agitation as I have a great canister on my 4ft with good circulation and agitation, but I added a small internal for surface movement, the guppies LOVE it to swim upstream, one of the best effects I see from my community

agree with most of what was said above, my 2c would be ditch the guppy's, they are gonna breed really soon, the fry will then be eaten by the other fish, this will lead to the rest of the tank mates being overfed, you could have ammonia problems etc, i would replace the guppys with 7 neons, they will look really nice in a school of 16 in total and they dont add to much waste to the tank. and of course, cory's like to be kept in groups of 5 or more, try to keep the cory's the same type, you are more likely to see schooling behavior. you should see how nice 5 panda cory's look when they school at the bottome of a tank.

    ;)
