What could it lead to? Obviously better photosynthesis, but can it harm the fish in any way?

    Hi Danelle,

The nice thing about the Microbelist Bio Carbon is that you cannot "overdose". The carbon source is humic acids, we add these if we want to make the water more suitable for fishes that enjoy soft water and come from the Amazon where the water is full of humic acids and these are hugely beneficial for the fishes, it helps their osmotic balance and is antibacterial. So you can overdose but this actually benefits the fishes and can do no harm at all.

I have actually found that this product works very well to stimulate my plant growth as I do not use CO2 fertilization and as stated on the Excel thread, I also do not want to use this product, so the Bio Carbon is a very good compromise for me.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk
