Over filtration!!!

    Hey guys, how do you know if a tank is being over filtrated? I have a 75litre tank with 2 filters. One is 300l/h and the other is a 150l/h filter.:wondering:

    what types of filters do you have on/in there?
    why not just use the 300lph?

    Yes this was covered, but can't find the thread now. I like over filtration. But there is a difference between filtration and water flow. Too much water flow is not good. I run 2 x external cannisters and they are both 1200l/h on a 300l tank. I reduce the flow with submerged spray bars. You can also drill additional holes in the spray bars. And the bigger the holes, the weaker the stream. So it needs a bit of experimentation. As long as there is fairly good flow.
