Wanted: Ottos

Hello all, has anyone seen healthy ottos at any lfs lately.

Dory Pets had some when I was there earlier this week.
They are going @ R85 each however.

 

That's crazy how do they expect people to pay such crazy prices really. But thanks for sharing

I've also been having the same problem. All my lfs's say that they don't often get them in.

On a side note, I've seen a lot of them stocking "algae eaters". I don't know what species they are exactly and so I don't want to get them before doing research. When I ask them what the fish is specifically, they just say it's the normal algae eater. Anyone know what species these are? (They kinda look like Chinese algae eaters )

You get true Siamese algae eaters but they eventually eat your plants. Only fish that are good, are ottos

And the algae eaters get heavy aggressive. I've learned that quickly, had two per tank.
