    Hi everyone.

One of my oto's is missing. Nowhere to be found. It was there just yesterday.
Does anyone know anything of their behavior?

How many ottos have you got in the tank? How big is the tank? How heavily planted is the tank? How long have you had the ottos?

If you don't regularly feed your ottos, they will die. I usually feed mine a slice of Baby Marrow at least once a week.

they are sensitive little guys though. Slight changes in water chemistry will upset them, and sometimes they are just prone to disappear in your tank, with no traces left behind... I hope it comes out of hiding!

Mine also went missing with the whole Ammonia/Nitrite junk. Might also be because of the fact that I thought the little algae in there would be sufficient.

There is not much plants in the tank, it is a 100liter tank. I had them for two months. There was two, now only one.

Ok, then what do you feed them? How active are they? How much algae is in the tank?

If it doesn't turn up in a day or two, I think you could probably say it is dead.
Sometimes the other fish will eat the body before you find it.

I have never kept these, but from what I have read, they like to be in small shoals of 5+

@Sean J. They are very active I feed them algea pellets wich they love and there is some alea in the tank but not that much.

Since the one is missing it seems like the other one is not that active any more?
