My oscar male use to be bullied by an other male. His pectoral fins was damaged because of this. The scars became woolly. A pet shop told me it is fungal infection. They gave me SERA Mycopur.

After the treatment only his eyes became pitch black. Must I be concerned? He also became light gray, almost white. [IMG]

    @Stalker

Sorry to hear and hope he gets better
I have never used that product but doesnt sound right to me
I often have serious bite injuries on my female Ray's when the Male grabs them to flip over to breed
Usually all clears just with waterchanges but on the odd occasion the only thing I ever use for injuries is salt and never side effects
I have 12 loaches as well and no harmful effects on them either
I would do a big waterchange and then dose the salt
If very infected you can look at using kanaplex from Seachem
I am always very weary of all the chemicals mixed and used in these various meds

Thank you. I've done a 800liter water change. I added salt and that product. I always use Seachem products, but that petshop only sell Sera products.

To treat my tank,I must use 3 Kanaplex as a treatment.

Gekkie doesn't like the salt water at all.

Ok... if Gekkie doesnt like the salt then go with the Kanaplex and a smaller dose salt
Usually I dont add the salt all in one go
I add third dose then a bit more 3 or 4 hours later and the rest few hours later
Gives the fish a chance to adjust to the salt slowly
I dissolve in hot water and in my case with sump I add to sump
If no sump, slowly add where your spray bar is
    Good luck.
