    (off-topic question) whats that measure/ruler sticking out the side of the tank in the photo? is that for the water level?

    If i have success must i remove the spawn?
    Or
    Must i move the eggs to another tank?

    awsome .how big are the oscars? .were they fighting alot prior to spawn ?

    Fighting a lot?
    Man you should've seen them go at each other.............
    Visitors sitting next to the tank usually got a swim.

    Bear in mind gents that female Oscars lay eggs all the time, and a male would need to fertilize them before they are of any use.

    Slojo, any idea if your other Oscar is a male?

    That is my concern as well.I did not see any fertilization.How will i know if the eggs are fertilized.
    She chase the other oscar away if it tries to come near the eggs.

    I believe they go dark, instead of the pale colour they are when first laid.

    what was the water conditions the the O's bred in?
    why I ask is because mine looked like they were going to do something but as soon as I did a water change it all stop.
